THE APPOINTMENT OF SCHOOL PREFECTS OF ST.LOUIS NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL IKERE-EKITI, EKITI STATE.

     The call to serve is divine, as serving is prerequisites to leading, so is leading to serving, 'he who is too small to serve is too big to lead.'

     It is in light of this, that on this day, 8th of February, 2024 the management of the school and staff decided on the appointment of school prefects from amongst the primary 6 pupils of the school who will guide and lead the junior ones as they also have been led on the right path all along. This leadership role is a baton that has been passed down over time and it has been serving as one of the many ways of training our pupils for a greater leadership role in the future. As the saying goes, "Children are leaders of tomorrow"


Before the appointment of the prefect were manifestos given by the intending prefects on the topic "Why I Would Love to be a Perfect", thereafter the school headmistress, Rev. Sr. Lucia Adenle shortly addressed the pupils, and emphasized the responsibilities that come with leadership, and the qualities expected of a good leader.

    Moreover, the assistant headmistress, Mrs. Ukpoma, and Rev. Sr. Francisca Faluru were then invited to designate the pupils with prefect crests after which the prefects were prayed for by the entire school.

Olowomofe Timileyin as the school librarian.

Olotin Olumide as the school Sports prefect.

Furthermore, the head boy and the head girl gave a short speech each, reiterating their commitment and passion towards ensuring a smooth and impactful leadership tenure, and also thanked the entire school management and Staff for the great opportunity given to them which they promised won't be misused and abused.

Finally, the pupils marched to their respective classes for the day's class activities to commence.
